The Aglaura Public Library is your library. The reason we exist is for you. This is your house - come home. Come read with us, learn with us, teach us, play with us, listen to us, talk to us, and be with us. Most of all, come have fun with us.

My dear neighbors, friends, and compatriots,

How thankful I am to be here in this beautiful town, bringing citizens together with knowledge in a blessed union. As the holidays approach, I urge you to take a moment to count all of your blessings.

Our own Pine Barren Poets Book Club would like to announce that in lieu of their regularly-scheduled reading of The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant (a lovely book, by the way, and well-worth a read regardless of whether you're in the Book Club or not, which you should be!), they will be having a Hot Chocolate and Dim Sum Social at the apartment of Sam Kwan on December 20th. Sam has been in the library every week studying recipes from our extensive cooking section, so this should be really good, folks!

Also, the Library will be hosting a Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 17 from 2-4 PM. Please bring a dish that represents a part of your family tradition. I am afraid that I will be bringing the pickle tray because try as I might, my expeditions into the kitchen are met with unilateral failure. Not even our wonderful afore-mentioned extensive cooking section can save my cooking. I very much look forward to sharing the tidings of the season with all of you.

Much love,
Sarah Wyatt
